Happy Hauntings!

I am thrilled that October is upon us!  It's my favorite month of the year for many reasons. The weather is crisp, the leaves are turning, pumpkin spice everything is available and of course Halloween!  In one of my recent internet Fall searches I came across this Haunted House Dress created by Clema W..  I immediately fell in love with it!  I knew it would be perfect for me this season.

With the quirky fun print of this material, I knew I could switch it up from my normal look. The pretty purple background is perfect for showing off the haunted houses, flying ghosts, bats, smiling jack-o-lanterns, owls, moons and more. I like the little pops of yellow for some contrast.  The dress is 100% cotton and has a little stretch, but not too much.  Make sure you measure accordingly when you place your order. It has a fitted bodice, pleated skirt and back zipper.

Clema W. makes retro inspired dresses in Portland, Oregon.  She offers classical and whimsical looks, so there is something for everyone!  Clema was the name the shop owners Grandmother, who was the most inspirational person in her life and it was only fitting to name her company after her.

My heels are the Elsie Hairy Dots in gray and black from Lola Ramona.  This heel is very comfortable and it's a good height.  The heel is rubber, lining is leather and the upper is cow hair, hence the name hairy dots! Needless to say they are very fun looking! They also have a bow for added decoration. I wore my striped witchy tights to finish off this quirky look.  My hair bow is by Deviously Sweet Designs.

Royally Spooky- TiCCi Rockabilly

This is my absolute favorite month of the year and I was thrilled to be able to feature such an amazing dress.  It's so fun and elegant at the same time!  This is the Lauren Dress from TiCCi Rockabilly Clothing.  It stands out in the crowd with the gorgeous royal purple and bright green elongated diamond designs going vertically on the front.  The top of the diamonds make a perfect point over the bust.  The dress has bones sewn in to keep it and you very shapely. It's also nice that it doesn't fall down even thought it's strapless.  It has a back zipper. The skirt is very full and can hold a petticoat. I was going for an elegant spooky look, so I hope was able to pull it off.  TiCCi Rockabilly certainly made an exceptional piece!

The dress came all the way from Hungary and TiCCi Rockabilly ships worldwide.  Stefánia Ágoston designs her clothing around the American 50's culture and hopes that it will influence the Hungarian youth.  She also makes clothing for musicians, as rock n roll is a major part of her inspiration.

I accessorized with a Jubly-Umph Poison Bottle Necklace and Lydia Handbag.  Both are works of art!  My heels are equally as amazing, they are the "Lula" boots by Bettie Page Shoes a division of Ellie Shoes.  I'll post a close up, so you can see the awesome details.

I hope this post has inspired you to get ready for Halloween!

Cherries!

Miss Fortune is always on point with pretty prints and styles!  The Kasual Kate Cherry Print Shirt is such an amazing piece.  It is so versatile.  You can wear it with jeans, capris or a skirt.  You could tuck it in and belt it or leave it out.  Laura has made it to high hip/ low waist length though, so it is perfect for tucking to high waist items. Either way, you are going to look and feel beautiful! I did choose to tuck it into my Betty Bow Circle Skirt by Miss Fortune as well.  The Kasual Kate has snaps instead of buttons, which I love!  It's easy and it also looks very neat!  The red collar and trim looks great contrasting with the cherry print.

The Kasual Kate is 100% cotton with no stretch, so order accordingly.  It has a loose comfy fit, but at the same time still makes you look very put together. I absolutely love it!!

The Betty Bow Circle Skirt is a staple in my wardrobe. It's high waisted and has the bow slide buckle in the front, back zipper and satin trimmed hem.

I had fun accessorizing for this outfit!  My hair piece is made from the amazing Jazzafine. pieces full of verve.  The bowling pin brooch is Glitter Paradise.  I also chose to wear my red and white saddle shoes for this look. They are courtesy of Rumble 59.

Karina Dresses + Buttercream Bettie + Cobalt

Wow is all I can say about this Trudy Dress from Karina Dresses!  First of all, the cobalt blue with white pin dots is the most beautiful color combination. It's striking! I loved the fit of this style of dress too. It has a sweetheart neckline that has full coverage, so it can be worn to the office or out on the town. It has criss cross fabric across the chest as well which adds a nice detail.  It has a fitted bodice and a full circle skirt.  The skirt falls below the knee.  It also features pleat details on the sleeves.  This dress fits like a glove and I felt very put together wearing it.  I am thrilled with my first Karina Dresses dress! Oh and no zippers!

This dress is great for many body types.  It has a lot of stretch to it.  The material is a microfiber and can be washed and hung to dry.

Karina Dresses are made in the USA, in Hudson Valley, New York.  The company was founded in 2007 by Karina Cousineau. Her vision was to create dresses for all ages and body types. Also, to help promote self love and acceptance of whatever size you are! I would say she has done an amazing job! I can't wait to get another dress for my wardrobe.
