Spring is right around the corner, which is good news!  It also means car show season and festivals are back!  This is such a fun time going out to support local vendors, bands and businesses. With that comes a little stress for the pinups though!  You know we always want to be on our A game. Whether we are entering the contest or just hanging out and getting pictures made.  Well, this is your lucky day ladies!  I'm here to tell you Steady Clothing can help. Check out this Sally Wiggle Dress! Vintage Chic- 50's Marcella Swing Dress

Let's talk about how classic this 50's Marcella Swing Dress in Red is!  It's an exclusive for Top Vintage Retro Boutique. The Vintage Chic swing dress is stunning.  I am so excited I got to feature this brand and let me tell you the quality and style is perfect!  This particular dress is swing style, so it's fitted bodice and full skirt are very flattering.  The neckline has pleated designs for a nice touch and it's round shape is just right for a modest look too. The material has a little stretch, but order according to the sizing chart.  The zipper is in the back for this dress. It has 3/4 sleeves, so you can wear it in several seasons. The belt comes with. I did not wear a petticoat for this shoot, but you could definitely fit one nicely under the skirt. You'll want to be twirling in this dress either way!  I think you could wear this very dressy for a night out or you could wear it to work or a more casual look.  You could accessorize differently to give it different styles. I went for a little dressy daytime look and added a red velvet vintage hat and some dressy contrasting leopard heels.  

The knee length is great on the Marcella Dress. I'm on the taller side at 5'8".

I spent a long time scrolling through all the gorgeous dresses and items. I loved the little town of Buford, Ga we did this shoot in!  It has many great spots, old buildings, railroads and pretty homes. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for getting out my Retro Sunnies. These glasses are the Greta Style. Retro Sunnies has the coolest sunglasses. They are designed in limited quantities, so snag the pair you like while you can!

Hearts and Found

Yesterday was a nice Spring like day in February.  It was perfect for a chance to wear this new dress from Hearts and Found! I went to celebrate my birthday with some family, so it was great to get out and dress up! The dress is a gorgeous coral color with red, white and yellow roses around the bottom. It's also a great choice for a romantic Valentine's date! I felt so feminine. With Hearts and Found you are able to pick out your fabric and dress style for a custom look especially for you. My look is the Gilda Dress with Scentimental Rose in Coral. I absolutely love this color combination! The fabric is 100% cotton and the dress has a complimentary color lining. The skirt is a a very swing style and the bodice is fitted.  It has a square neckline and straps that tie on the shoulders.  The zipper is in the back. Guess what?  It also has pockets!!

Marjorie, the owner of Hearts and Found was wonderful to work with! Her Etsy shop is full gorgeous creations, some are ready to order or you can create a custom one.  Every step of the way she keeps contact with you to let you know the progress or any information she needs to make your dress or skirt perfect. Her business is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Her love of vintage style has lead to an amazing business! I am very pleased with the whole process and recommend Hearts and Found for a beautiful dress!!

I had some fabulous accessories to wear with this.  My bangles and earrings are from Splendette.  I mixed the large red and gold clear Starbrite bangles with a small pale pink carved Fakelite style.  My earrings are the gold Starburst. 

The gorgeous brooch is from the Luxulite Valentine's Collection.  It's a 1940's style with glossy red and pink cherries with some hearts added in. 

The Double Ranculas hair flower is from Shazam Vintage Pin Up Hair Flowers.  I love the peach color with green centers!

Pink Lily Love with Karina Dresses

Love is in the air! I'm featuring a cute flirty number from Karina Dresses.  It is the Carolyn Dress in Pink Lily print.  This a gorgeous wrinkle free dress with a plaque v-neck, fitted waistband and a knee length full skirt.  This is a great choice for a fun night on the town with your love!  It's romantic, feminine and very comfortable too! You will feel great and look beautiful in this Karina Dress, plus it is very flattering for many body shapes!  I'm always very impressed with the quality from Karina too! I accessorized this look with stacks of bangles, earrings and a necklace from Splendette.  I chose to wear red and pink together.  I mixed pieces from her heart collection, glitter and fakelight.  The possibilities are endless with Splendette jewelry!  You will have a blast creating a look to suit you.

I figured for my night on the town look, I would need to have a super cute bag and the Lola Von Rose pink one is what I needed! It's the perfect size to fit your essential items. This vintage inspired bag is a perfect accessory for a pin up!  It comes in several colors as well.

Last, but definitely not least you must have fabulous heels!  I am absolutely in love with these Abela heels from Bettie Page Shoes! They are perfect for Valentine's or anytime! I love how they are designed with red and a few shades of pink.  They happen to be comfortable too!

Love is in the air as we are getting closer to the most romantic holiday of the year! Love birds make it a point to show their someone special extra attention on Valentine's Day.
