Tiggy Floral from Joanie Clothing

This month I'm bringing out a 70's vibe with a new style from Joanie Clothing.  The Tiggy Floral Print is just gorgeous and completely feminine!  I don't recall wearing a burnt orange color and I'm absolutely loving it.  The fabric is polyester and has a full lining.  The style is perfect for windy spring days.  The sleeves are also a nice change!  The whimsical sleeve with the fitted wrist band is a really great touch.  The midi dress falls mid calf and has a very full skirt.  The neck is a crossover style and does plunge pretty low, so you may want to wear a cami if you aren't comfortable with the cut. The wide fitted waistband is flattering and the zipper is in the back. I love a pretty floral print and this Joanie Dress has it going on!  It has just the right amount of pattern if you are someone who doesn't particularly gravitate towards florals.  The white and different shades of green foxgloves on the orange background is gorgeous! I think this a dress you'll be happy to have in your collection.

Joanie Clothing offers sizes in UK 8-22.  I would go by the clothing size chart when ordering and for this Tiggy Dress I recommend sizing up as there is no stretch.  Since 2015 Joanie Clothing has been dedicated to making high quality vintage reproduction clothing that women can feel great wearing.  Whether you are looking for a casual style or a wedding dress, you'll find something at Joanie to wear! I have always been pleased with the quality and friendly service! Joanieclothing.com has it all, so head over to the site and prepare yourself to fall in love!

I chose to accessorize with green and orange, a combo that I would normally not think about, but I like the way it turned out!  My earrings are from the 'everything going green" collection from Retro Verte. They are 1940's inspired bakelite replicas. Her earrings are available in clip ons too. You can Retro Verte on Etsy. There you'll see authentic vintage clothing, reproduction items and of course fabulous accessories!  The necklace is a vintage piece from For Guys and Gals, I love the orange and white! I wore green and white heels from Lola Ramona to tie in the theme.

Cobalt Green Birds- Lady V London

Lady V London has really outdone themselves with the new Spring 18 collection!  This Hepburn Dress in Cobalt Green Birds will have you looking looking like a million bucks!  The pattern is just stunning!  It features peach and pink flowers, cobalt blue flowers with bold green leaves and pastel teal background.  The combination is a true beauty!  The Hepburn style has a high rounded neckline and a fitted bodice.  The skirt is very full and I wore a petticoat with it to add to the fullness.  I love the length as it falls below the knee.  It has a zipper in the back and comes with the pretty pink detachable waist belt. This dress is so feminine and modest, it can be worn anywhere.  It would make a great bridal shower or date night dress.  Wear it anytime you want a pick me up or to stand out in the crowd!

You can get this dress is sizes from UK 8-28. It does have some slight stretch to it, but check the sizing chart on their website.  Lady V London is always a top choice of mine!  Their quality and style is top notch every time.

I had fun putting together accessories for this look and just decided to use all the colors!

I wore my Aria Bettie Page Shoes in Peach.  They are the perfect heels for comfort and style!  My bag is a vintage reproduction from Lola Von Rose and it is always a fun piece to accessorize with.  I wore a mix of bangles from Splendette in pink and blue.  They are glitter and carved fakelite styles. I brought the green out with green and white glitter Sweetheart Rose Confetti Fakelite earrings from Retro Verte. Finally, my amazing hair piece is from Shazam Pin Up Hair Flowers.  They are a Special Edition Rose Peony Cascade Tropical Tiki Pale Pink & Pale Green.  It's a stunning piece for sure! They have a whole collection of the cascading styles and I highly recommend one.

This Spring you're all invited to a Garden Party with Karina Dresses and trust me, you won't want to miss it!  The new collection of florals is fabulous!  I love every single dress. The one that I am featuring is a favorite style of mine, the Margaret Dress in Teal Boho Blossoms.  This dress is so feminine, you will feel great wearing it!  I love the colors together, the blue with the dusty pink and ivory flowers just looks gorgeous.  The Margaret features the wide flattering waistband with a built in tie belt. It has 3/4 sleeves which is great is great for the transitioning temperatures. The bodice is a crossover v-neck. One thing that makes the Margaret one of my favorite Karina styles is the longer mid calf length!  This is the perfect dress for a date, wedding party or really anytime you want to look amazing!

The Margaret Dress is made the USA with wrinkle free material and it's perfect for traveling with!  Spring Break is coming up, so you definitely need one for that trip!

Hearts in Red and Blue

I love this time of year!  I love seeing all of the hearts and cheesy Valentine gifts!  It's a fun way to show someone a little extra love and appreciation.  Not that you shouldn't do it every other day of the year, but the 14th is especially fun. I think it's only appropriate to find an outfit that you will love wear too! I put this together with love on my mind!

It's a perfect chance to wear a new item from Hearts and Found . With Hearts and Found you are able to pick out your fabric and dress or skirt style for a custom look especially for you. This is the Lola skirt with full gathers all around.  It also features pockets, which is great!  Your skirt will come fully lined and with a metal zipper and button waistband. My pick was the Party Hearty in Sky Blue with Red Hearts.  I really love it and the handmade quality is excellent!

Marjorie, the owner was wonderful to work with! Her Etsy shop is full gorgeous creations, some are ready to order or you can create a custom one.  Every step of the way she keeps contact with you to let you know the progress or any information she needs to make your dress or skirt perfect. Her business is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Her love of vintage style has lead to an amazing business! I am very pleased with the whole process and recommend Hearts and Found for a beautiful wardrobe addition.

My Miss Fortune Simple Pleasures Off The Shoulders Top In Red Lurex was the perfect match for this look! This top is so versatile and it's sparkle makes it great for the Valentine's! I love the off the shoulder look and added buttons for extra detail.

I had some fabulous accessories to wear with this.  My bangles and earrings are from Splendette.  I mixed the large red clear Starbrite bangle with small blue carved Fakelite and glitter styles.  My earrings and brooch are the Clear Red Hearts. I am wearing a Luxulite necklace in red with gold hearts. Take a look at the Luxulite Etsy shop ad pick some items to complete your look. I know you fall in love with everything there! My hat is an amazing red velvet vintage one that I was lucky enough to come across antiquing.

Ringing in the New Year!

I can't believe that 2018 is here!  Time has flown by and so many great memories have been had. I always like to reflect back over the year and think of things I would like to change for the New Year or that I wish I had done in the past! One thing that I know I can do better with is keeping in touch with people. Not just by text or email, but actually calling them or going to lunch or something.  A busy as we all are it's really important to step back and realize that nothing beats a good laugh and conversation in person with a great friend!  I am going to keep this as one of my personal goals in 2018.  It will help me in personal growth as well as with my real estate business. I have to break out of my shell and talk to everyone!

This leads to me to what this article is actually about and that's the amazing company My Vintage Look out of Nashville, TN.  You may be familiar with them from shows such as the Nashville Boogie where her styles graced the runway in the fashion show.  Owner Stacy Davidson also made a trip to The Rockabilly Reckoning, one of our Georgia shows. It was great seeing all of her gorgeous dresses and accessories in person. The Day at the Vineyard Dress in Call Me print is the perfect dress for my New Year's theme!  It is a novelty print with antique phones and call me all over it!  The dress is completely cute! It features a plunge v-neck wrap look.  It has double halter straps and one is an adjustable shoulder strap, so you can get extra support. The skirt is a very full circle and falls below the knee.  It also has pockets! The material is 100% cotton.  I love the style and fit of this one.  Ringing in the New Year will be a breeze in the Call Me dress!

Stacy started 9 years ago selling authentic vintage and then decided to launch her own line last Spring.  That is when MVL was born! You can find many styles and patterns to suit you within her company.  They are timeless and flattering pieces, you'll fell confident wearing.  They are also made in Nashville, which is a bonus!  Be on the lookout for Stacy and MVL at festivals and shows this year and I'm sure you'll fall in love the line too!

I accessorized with fun heels from Lola Ramona!  I love the Elsie style for it's comfort and style. Lola Ramona is know for their quirky styles. You can never have too many fun heels and boots!

My hair flower is by Jazzafine. pieces full of verve. You can find her lovely creations on Etsy. I love her classic style on fascinators and her turbans.

The earrings I have on are from Bow and Crossbones.  They are so sparkly and gorgeous on! They are the Tear Drop style in red glitter.

I was lucky enough to have the perfect setting to capture these looks at Junk Drunk Jones inn Canton, GA.  There you have a blast looking for vintage finds and awesome antiques!
